THE BEST PRODUCTS METCO SELECTED - 100% ITALIAN

SOLVENT SOLUBLE INKS

In the field of digital decoration, Metco has developed the range of colors soluble Sinkmet, can penetrate for several millimeters in the support, so as to make possible its lapping thrust. If the pigments are micro ground to continue to provide a high definition, the colors soluble Sinkmet, however, allow to intervene on the technical porcelain stoneware obtaining grain and the aesthetic developments extraordinary (without the aid of glasses or glass sandwiching), while maintaining the technical characteristics of porcelain stoneware, such as resistance to abrasion and low dirtying. The colors Sinkmet for digital decoration penetrating are a specialty cromofora completely soluble. Are certified by the major houses of production digital printers and available in 8 colours, based on complexes of metals, common and precious - such as Ruthenium (Ru) and Gold (Au) - in addition to a wide range of agents, penetrating, and sophisticated systems of alteration of the dough. These elements combine to guarantee the naturalness and the beauty of technical porcelain, typically in search of imitation of natural stone and marble, with chromatic nuances, the unique.

3. CUSTOMIZED POSSIBILITY

Sinkmet and Sinking aid are eventually alternately loaded in the bars in order to obtain a deeper colour penetration.

Chemical Cleaners

Sinkmet (SSI)

To replace the inks, pigmented inks and soluble SSI cleaning is required (multiple steps depending on the complexity of the residual) with SINKMET AT.

To replace the inks soluble SSI with other colors, it is necessary to wash with SINKMET TO.

SINKMET EE-BS-DG

(POST TREATMENTS) SINKING THE COLOURS INTO THE BODY

Are the products applied with the normal bar digital that promote the sinking of the color of the SSI inside the ceramic body, be it in dual-boot or applied to the chain.
As said, they have applied to bar digital by reducing the amount to use as they act directly where the design requires it then in a selective manner. For the production of finishing honed serve from 10 to 50 gr/sqm. For the production of a polished finish (where the sinking must be greater than 1 mm) the application of affondanti can reach 300 grams/square meters.

Codes available at the moment:
Sinkmet EE-BS-DG, other affondanti are designed for specific compositions of the mixture.

- Sinks the colours into the porcelain body (tuning the colour)
- Organic nature
- Digitally applied (localized on specific drawing areas)
- Amount 10-50 gr/sqm

CUSTOMER ADDITIVATED BODY SLIP

CUSTOMER ADDITIVATED BODY SLIP

It is possible to have a large Gamut thanks to some additives developed by METCO despite the very low cations concentration due to SSI dispersion inside the body. Metco additives have to be added to the body slip. 2 possible industrial applications:

The addition of promoters chromophores in the mixture of the customer makes to obtain substantial performance from the point of view of the development color, significantly expanding the colour Gamut. These additives can be added either in the liquid phase (slip) of the mixture, which in the initial charging of the mill.

As A result of this preparation will make it possible to have two types of applications:

The first (and most obvious liquid) application directly to the ceramic body through the use of supply chain pressure (application of at least 400-600 microns) while the second one (with different destination of use) once
spray the slip is then applied as a double layer all the dry double-loading.
You will always and surfaces “TECHNICAL” with a hardness similar to the Technical Porcelain pure, easy cleanability of the surface and a very high resistance to scratching due to the absence of fragile materials such as glass (typical instead of the glazed products made by other manufacturers of inks).
Subsequent finishes, Honed or Polished, thus giving it an added value that assimilates these artifacts to natural marble, both for aesthetics and for the variety of colours.

The typical configuration of the line, if you choose to apply the Slip modified with Metox directly by supply chain pressure (liquid), is the following:

-glazing line of at least 80-120 mt
-at the exit from the dryer after pressing it is necessary to cool the surface of the tile using a jet of water with an airless
- application of Slip changed with Metox through a chain of pressure (500-700 gr/sqm
the dry product divided into 2 applicators)
-a baby walker place between the sectors will rotate the tile by 90° (to avoid the effect of the vertical line)
-after the deposition of the layer you need to scrape the edges and proceed to dry the surface of the tile, which can be accomplished in these ways:
- bring the artifact in a kiln to more than plans for at least 3-5 minutes (drying or forced)
- leave to cross an empty space of the line (at least 80 metres)
- preventing the influence of water that the medium is absorbing.

The addition of colour enhancers to the customer’s ceramic body makes it possible to achieve significant performance from the colour development perspective, thus greatly extending the chromatic range.

This option requires the addition of colour enhancers to the customer’s slip, adjustment of the rheology, and atomization of the slip to obtain a powder to apply using the double charging technique. In the case of SSIs with application on double charged ceramic bodies, the entire process can be performed in a very short section of production line (as little as 30 metres). The additivated powder is applied in the press or immediately upstream from it. The necessary quantity is added to obtain a layer of 1 – 1.5 in thickness.

The substrate to be decorated, composed of two layers, leaves the dryer and, once the surface temperature has been lowered to 40 - 50°C, the decoration is applied by means of a digital printer for SSIs, normally equipped with 6 bars (4 for colours and 2 for sinking aids – in the most sophisticated installations the bars can be 8 or even 12 in number depending on the complexity of the required decoration). The procedure described above is the final operation, thus showing the simplicity of the production process.
